The Jameos del Agua forms part of the same volcanic tube as the Cueva de los Verdes, a place where nature and man met and embraced.
The tube is connected to the sea, and runs out under the ocean for more than one and a half kilometres. For this reason, many species of fish and crustaceans like no others in the world became “trapped” in it. In the lake that is in the heart of Jameos you and your children will be able to meet the “jameito”: a small, white, blind crustacean found nowhere else in the world.
In addition, it is equipped with restaurants, an auditorium, etc. Nature, food and art go hand in hand.
- The Cactus Garden: 1 cactus, 2 cacti, 3 cacti… 4,500 cacti!
1 cactus, 2, 3, 4 …100, and up to almost 4,500 cacti, a crazy sight! You don’t need to travel the five continents to see different species of cacti. In Lanzarote we have a garden with 450 different species grouped in 13 families.
The garden is surrounded by the largest prickly pear plantation on the island, where cochineal beetles were cultivated in the past.

Located at a height of 400 metres, on the Risco de Famara, from here you can see the islets to the north of the island. These views are breathtaking and fascinate any little one, who for a moment, will feel like he or she can touch the sky.
